The philosophy of the “Country Resort” is based on the desire to make guests taste typical products. Most of the raw materials used in the kitchen, indeed, are locally produced at “km 0” and the oil is produced by the olive trees of the Resort.
EATING HEALTY AND TRADITIONALLY
To our guests we offer a careful selection of traditional Sicilian recipes and a reinterpretation of the same with the use of those raw materials that were once considered poor but rich in taste. A journey to rediscover the ancient flavors of the Mediterranean. Particular care and attention, in fact, are directed to the restaurant.
All accompanied by a rich wine cellar strictly Sicilian. Most of the raw materials used in the kitchen, in fact, are of local origin and the oil is produced by the olive trees of the Resort.
The restaurant is at the edge of the swimming pool with views of the lush park of olive trees and Mediterranean maquis and in the background the backdrop of the mountains overlooking the valley. Relax and magical atmospheres await you in the evening at the poolside restaurant where you can continue your evenings at the lounge bar.
Breakfast, always to offer the maximum relaxation to our guests, is served until 11.00 am on the terrace that runs along the reception under the shadow of a canopy at the foot of a century-old carob tree. Even the latecomers, when the buffet is closed, will have the chance to have a sweet awakening. Guests who like have the possibility to receive every morning their favorite newspaper before breakfast. Breakfast is not classifiable in the standards to which we are accustomed. At breakfast, in addition to having the reception staff to welcome guests, you will find typical and homemade dishes.
From jams of oranges, figs, mulberries, mandarins, homemade cakes, homemade bread “cunsato” with oil and oregano and typical cheeses, without prejudice to the presence of French-style butter croissants and all the classic components of a rich continental hotel breakfast, there are also the typical almond granita and cheese, ham and eggs.
For lunch time, the pool bar offers guests the possibility to enjoy cold dishes, salads, sandwiches and toasts. For our youngest guests the bar will prepare meals or what provided by parents.
Every morning the Chef presents to the guests a tasting menu composed of appetizer, first course and second course with side dish, based on local fish and seasonal vegetables. Half board includes dinner and a fruit buffet. Drinks, wines and desserts are excluded. During the dinner guests can accompany the meal choosing among the best wines strictly Sicilian and finish with a dessert or ice cream
In addition to the main menu, every day is presented a second menu intended for younger guests or those who prefer a simpler dinner. For a better organization, and to meet the needs of the guests, during breakfast we will ask the guests to indicate which menu they like and at what time they prefer to dine.
